Merry Christmas to all!

Even though it’s hard to be asexual to a largely unforgiving family during the holidays, I really think that anyone that doesn’t identify as straight likely experiences an amount of strain during the holidays. Whether, you’re gay, bi, pans, etc; you’ve probably experienced either the nervousness of bringing home a new love to meet the fam, or you’re experiencing the lack of any such partner and hearing the never ending spiels about settling down. With the preferred socio normalised partner of course.

So I just want to put out there that if anyone has suffered this way this year; you’ve got a lot of people out there going through the exact same thing. Whether you’re out to family and friends or no one at all, you’re understood by me and others.

I honestly think that the common ground of queerness is something that unaccepting people just don't understand. And why would they? It’s really only been this generation that we’ve become progressive enough to realise that love comes in more than one form.

Anyways, I love you all and I’m here in your corner. We’re here and we’re queer. We’re not going anywhere.

Merry Christmas!
