This blog is going to be about multiple things; asexuality just being one of them. Asexuality is just one part of my life, but this blog is going to do more than showcase that one part.
I'm a paragraph. Nah, just kidding. Honestly, I'm a full length, unfinished novel. And my story is just beginning.
You see, when most people here the word asexual, they usually thing one of two things. 1. If they don't know the full definition, they don't like to take their nose any further away from the biology book than they have to. 2. If the full definition is known, then Spongebob Squarepants is the next logical step for some people. Now. I don't know about you, but I'm more than a definition on a page and I'm a hell of a lot more than some infantile sea sponge. so let's start with what I really am.
I am a sister. I am an aunt. I am a student of Psychology. I am a Chicago Cubs fan. I am an elephant advocate. I am a trauma survivor. I am a chronically relapsing addict. I am an asexual. I am a Mormon.
Now, that's a lot more than some dictionary, T.V. show or biology is ever going to tell you. So put down the book and remote, 'cause I'm the one in control of my own story.
