How I Discovered MY Asexuality

So I have just finished my first semester of college psychology and I must say that I think that this class was the most enlightening one that I have ever been in. First of all, it is where I found out that I am NOT completely insane having no interest in sex and dating and all that mess. To be clear, I say "mess" because of the fact that I have no interest in it, the whole experience seems so foreign to me that I am completely flabbergasted by the ins and outs of it all. I mean, explaining sexuality and intercourse to me is kind of like explaining life on land to a jellyfish. Literally.
Anyways, back to the enlightenment. In my class we were going over sexuality and the brain/body connections of it all, and I was sitting there completely silent because I really had nothing to add, no personal experience to draw from. Every other time the topic of sexuality has ever been brought up is usually contained to either the heterosexual side and the homosexual side, but this time asexuality was brought up. Sadly, it was no kindred spirit in the classroom that brought it up; just the teacher going over the class course. But still.... Have you ever heard something and you just RELATED to it?? Like, you hear it and you know that it perfectly describes you? That was me.
So asexuality, in the most bare bones of definitions is "a person who has no sexual feelings or desires." Finally, what I had felt all along now had a name.
And this isn't even the first time I've heard of asexuality. First semester in college my sociology class presented a Youtube video about asexuality. But it was never really explained. If it had been, I'd have been identifying as asexual since 18. It was always there! I just needed the word and explanation to finally pinpoint how I felt and who I was.
Now, some people might think that it's a phase but considering the fact that I am now almost 23 and still have no desire for sexual relations or have any desire to date, get married, and the like. To me, it is not a phase because I have made plans around it, you know? I don't plan on getting married, but I do plan on having kids through AI, and just go through my life the way I think that everyone should.
But yeah, that's how I discovered my asexuality.
